Computer and Network Administration
An Associate's Degree in Computer and Network Administration helps prepare students for entry-level careers by instructing them in the necessary hardware fundamentals, networking fundamentals, and operating systems to help meet the growing demand for network support personnel nationwide.(1)
Criminal Justice
The Criminal Justice Associate's Degree Program provides students with the skills and knowledge required to work effectively in a variety of probation, corrections, private security, and government settings. Graduates are prepared for employment in positions that include: police officer, detective, border agent, parole officer, and probation officer.
Lafayette LA. College Diploma Programs:
Cosmetology
The Cosmetology Diploma Program instructs students in hair styling, cutting, coloring, perming, chemical relaxing, skin care, and nail care with emphasis on safety, sanitation, and professionalism. The program also prepares graduates to take state license exams.
Electronic Technology
Students of the Electronic Technology Diploma Program will study the basics of integrated circuits, microprocessors, computer technology, and home electronics through coursework, hands-on laboratories, and computerized simulations. Graduates should be well-positioned for entry-level electronics technology jobs as computer and electronic technicians.(1)
Medical Assisting
Students of the Medical Assisting Diploma Program will have the opportunity to learn from instructors with real-world experience on how to work closely with doctors to organize and monitor patient care services. Students can complete the program in as few as 8 months, preparing them for future work in a physician's office, clinic or related health care facility.(1)
Medical Billing and Coding
The Medical Billing and Coding Diploma Program helps prepare students to analyze, organize and evaluate health insurance claim forms and handle coding of diagnosis, procedures, and therapies for billing. Graduates should be prepared for entry-level positions in physician's offices, clinics, hospitals, and other health care facilities or to work from home.(1)
Medical Laboratory Assistant Training
Remington College's Medical Laboratory Assistant diploma program can help prepare you for a new career in the health care industry in as few as 12 months. Train in skills that assistants in medical laboratories and medical offices/clinics utilize by handling samples in a medical laboratory, performing laboratory analysis, and studying medical office management.
Pharmacy Technician
The Pharmacy Technician Diploma Program instructs students on how to receive prescriptions from doctors and hospitals, prepare prescriptions for patients, verify insurance and prescription information, and assist pharmacists with everyday duties. Graduates should be prepared for entry-level positions working for such employers as retail pharmacies, hospitals, and local druggists.(1)

Actively Involved in the Lafayette Community
Remington College in Lafayette, Louisiana is actively involved in the Acadiana community. Our campus honors its unique setting by participating in the Lafayette Mardi Gras celebration - one of the larger events in Acadiana. During the holidays we collect donations for the Feed a Family program to benefit FoodNet. In late summer, our Cosmetology students provide complimentary back-to-school haircuts for kids as part of our Cuts for Kids program. We're proud of our local community and make it a priority to give back.
